Steven Mendyka is a Leader who is focused on delivering exceptional Customer service by understanding Customer’s needs and building business processes to meet those needs in the most cost-effective manner possible.  He has extensive knowledge of the Wholesale Distribution industry through his experience with GE Supply, Rexel and the Roofing Supply Group (RSG).   He is viewed as a Leader who serves his Team because they, not him, deliver the services Customers are demanding.  Steve is known for being straight forward and completely honest and demanding the same from his Team.

In 2017 Steve retired from RSG after leading the integration of the IT systems with Beacon Roofing Supply who had recently acquired RSG.  Steve now works as an independent consultant focusing on developing IT Leadership, Process Development, Data Analytics and Project Management.  His services are desired because of his ability to develop a plan, identify the reality of the situation, then adapt to the situation as the environment changes and deliver what his Clients truly require.

Mendyka spent 24 years at GE progressing through the IT function to become a Director of IT at GE Supply.  He was then recruited for the first wave of 6 Sigma at GE as a Master Black Belt and used his Math, Process and IT knowledge in developing and improving business processes, improving Customer service and reducing the cost to serve.  In 2008 Steve moved to Rexel where he started as CTO for Rexel Holdings USA (RHUSA), then CIO for RHUSA and finally Global CTO for Rexel.  He moved to RSG as VP Process Development and IT before Beacon Roofing Supply acquired RSG in 2016.

Steve has an MS in Information Systems with a concentration in Operations Research from University of New Haven.  And, a BS in Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science from Central Connecticut State University.  He also attended several Management Development courses at the GE Jack Welch Institute. Steve also is a member of several scholarship committees.
